PinThis (pinthis.bid) is a marketplace where X (Twitter) account owners ("Creators") auction the right to appear in their pinned tweet for a period of time to advertisers ("Bidders"). PinThis is operated by an individual based in Argentina and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp.
You need an account to create a Creator profile or to have a bid attributed to you. Accounts are accessed via a one-time login link sent to your email — there are no passwords. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address secure.
You may optionally connect your X account via OAuth to verify that you own the handle you list and to auto-fill your name, bio, profile picture, and follower/following counts. PinThis never posts, follows, or acts on X on your behalf — the connection is read-only and used solely to verify ownership and read public profile fields.
Creators set a starting price and a duration for their pinned spot — either a fixed number of hours or open until outbid. Bidders compete by placing bids; the current highest bid wins when the auction ends.
When a bid wins, payment is collected upfront through our payment processors (MercadoPago or Lemon Squeezy, depending on currency). The winning Bidder then submits the tweet content (text, and optionally an image and a link) they want the Creator to publish and pin.
The Creator must publish and pin the submitted content, or reject it with a reason if it violates their stated content guidelines or PinThis's prohibited-content rules (Section 5). Funds are held until the Creator confirms publication with a link to the live tweet. If content is rejected, the Bidder is refunded, minus any processing fees that payment providers do not return.
PinThis charges a platform commission on completed transactions (currently 10%), deducted before payout to the Creator. This rate may change; the rate in effect at the time an auction is created applies to that auction.
Creators provide payout details (e.g. MercadoPago alias/CVU, PayPal, Deel, Wise, Payoneer, or another method) in their dashboard. Payouts are processed manually by PinThis after a transaction completes. PinThis is not a bank or money transmitter and does not custody funds beyond the time needed to process a transaction.
Creators may block entire content categories for their own profile (shown publicly before a Bidder submits an offer). Regardless of a Creator's own settings, the following are never allowed on PinThis, for any auction:
You also agree not to misuse the platform: creating fake bids, manipulating auctions with multiple accounts, or attempting to circumvent payment or commission mechanics.
PinThis facilitates the transaction between Creators and Bidders but is not a party to what either side ultimately publishes. Creators are responsible for the content they publish and pin; Bidders are responsible for the content they submit. PinThis is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service, of X, or of any third-party payment processor.
You may stop using PinThis at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to defraud other users, or abuse the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use of PinThis after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
